The premise
A strange encounter at a used book store leads four young seekers to a Video Course from the 1980s where they are introduced to Howard French and his twisted lessons on enlightenment: The Framework to Truly See. Over the course of a single night, the hypnotic, malevolent Howard moves them steadily along a nightmarish path of ever more gruesome choices. Do You Want to Truly See?

When four young people stumble upon an obscure VHS course from the 1980s, they find themselves drawn into the magnetic and deeply sinister world of Howard French — a self-styled guru with a very particular vision of what it means to truly see. What begins as curiosity curdles into something far more dangerous as the night wears on and French's lessons grow increasingly difficult to refuse. Shot through with a retro cult-video aesthetic, the film traps its characters — and its audience — in an escalating nightmare of forced revelation. Howard French is the kind of villain who gets under your skin long before the real horror begins.
