Wicked Makers (Jaimie and Jay) build a motion-triggered haunted mirror prop for their yard haunt by combining a thrift-store vintage frame, a two-way mirror panel, and a monitor running custom ghost footage. The ghost video stars Jaimie, professionally enhanced with visual effects and eerie audio by Fiverr artists. When a trick-or-treater walks up, the motion sensor fires the media player and a ghostly apparition materializes in the mirror. The build draws inspiration from their earlier DIY smart mirror project and folklore figures like Bloody Mary and Candyman.
VanOaksProps demonstrates how to recreate the classic Pepper's Ghost optical illusion at miniature scale, housing the effect inside a bell jar for a self-contained Halloween display piece. Inspired by the iconic ballroom scene in Disney's Haunted Mansion, the build uses an angled reflective surface to make a hidden 'ghost' image appear to float inside the jar.
